Speed Scrap: April 5th

Hi, Sisters!
This is Barbara, here to remind you of the next Faith Sisters' Speed Scrap.  It's scheduled for April 5, but I would love your input about the time.  We have sisters all around the world, so it's difficult to decide on a time.  So, please leave a comment on this post with your time zone and the best hour for our scrap.  I'll try to accommodate the greatest number of participants. (As long as it's not in the middle of the night here in the Pacific Standard Time zone!)
Check back in our forum or on our Facebook page for an update on the time.
To encourage you to come and join us, I've made up a template for anyone who scraps along with us.  I was inspired by a layout on The Digi Lovely blog, by Paula Gilarde. I have included .psd, .tiff, and .jpg formats. It will be available after our scrap.
And, to get you inspired, here are a few layouts from our last Speed Scrap:
I hope to see you on the 5th!

Providence 365: Week 13

Hello, sisters; this is Barbara here with Providence 365, week 13.

I'm beginning to rethink my belief that doing a 365 project is a good idea:  it seems that the time just flies by now that I'm keeping track of it!  We're already over 1/5 of the way through 2011, and I thought we just had Christmas.  So, I guess I'd better not waste any more time.

One of my very favorite blogs to read is Femina, written by a mother, her two daughters, and her daughter-in-law.  I enjoy it so much partly because I never know what I'm going to get in the next post.  It might be a tasty recipe, an funny story about the crazy things children do, or a deep theological insight.

A few days ago, the post was a little essay on providence.  I'm sure by now that you might be in need of another voice of encouragement to look to the struggles of your life as opportunities for a little faith-growing.  So, I heartily recommend that you go visit Femina and drink in the wisdom that's found there.

For our verse this week, I chose Romans 11:36, which says,:

For from Him, and through Him, and to Him are all things.
To Him be the glory forever.  Amen.

Just a good reminder that our lives aren't chaotic happenstance.  But, rather, they are for the express purpose of bringing glory to Christ.  That would be a huge, unattainable goal were it not for the fact that it is only through the One to whom all glory belongs that we have the ability in any measure to exactly that!   Isn't He good?  What He commands, He enables.  We serve an awesome God.

Please stop by our forum and gallery at Faith Sisters and let us know how your Providence 365 is going.  We'd love to hear from you and to see your layouts.

My Lifetime Story RE-RUN: Challenge 12 - What I Wanted to Be When I Grew Up

Video coming soon!
Be sure to SUBSCRIBE to our YouTube Page so you don't miss any of our videos!

Jer 29:11 (NIV) "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

The wonder years. This weeks challenge for your lifetime story album is to go back to the daydreams and dreams you had as a child. What did you want to be when you grew up? How does it relate to who you are now? What were the turning points in your childhood that inspired these dreams?

This is a fun challenge. Creative Team member Tammy McClain said, "This was such a great challenge for me, because honestly it wasn’t until I began doing this challenge that I realized that though I may not have fulfilled my childhood dreams of becoming something like “I” thought I would be, God did use those dreams in “His” way to fulfill in my life…God’s way is truly perfect!" See Tammy's layout below.

Be sure to follow this challenge in our forum and post your page in our gallery under the appropriate category! If you are a digital scrapbooker, be sure to find some great products in our shop to help you with your project!
