Designers Challenge and FIVE Freebies!

Are you a digital scrapbooking product designer or know one who is? Faith Sisters is looking for new designers and aspiring designers! Join us in creating a kit with our theme and/or color swatch. You can join in just for fun or for a chance to become a designer at Faith Sisters! Your contribution will to be posted in our gallery for all to download, then those who are chosen to design for the store... your kit will be included in a new designers collaboration with all proceeds going toward our World Vision Charity! How to participate: 1. Take a copy of our "Theme Swatch" and design a mini kit with it! 2. Upload a preview of your kit in the gallery in the appropriate section here, with a link to download it from a service like 4Shared.com. Please no linking to other digital shops. 3. Be sure that your email address in the gallery is valid in your profile because we will be contacting you with follow up information. 4. Deadline for sharing kits is August 27th. If you are trying for a spot as a designer here, we will contact successful candidates on Sunday, August 29th and we would like you to respond to the invitation by the next day, Monday, August 30th. 5. Candidates are judged by peers, number of downloads, number of comments, number of votes and by select team members at Faith Sisters. So get all your friends and fans to come and vote for you! (*Must be registered to vote and comment) 6. You must post your kit and information about this challenge on your blog and/or Facebook page and link it to the gallery where the download link is, on our website so people can come here are download all the kits for themselves. Post this link to your blog post in the description of your kit in the gallery so we can see it. Please link up to the specific post, not your general blog site, we don't want anyone to get lost. ;) 7. These rules are subject to change. 8. Questions? My Sweet, Sweet Song- Beautifully Made

You are a treasure of the Lord. He created you and you are precious in his sight. We all are beautifully made by a loving God, who created us “in his own image.” As women, we bear God’s image in a special way. In the book Captivating by John & Stasi Eldredge, they share this insight, “And so the journey to discover what God meant when he created woman in his image-when he created you as his woman-that journey begins with your heart.” Do you believe deep down in your heart that you are a treasure, that you are precious?

The King is enthralled by your beauty. -Psalm 45:11

And let not your adornment be merely external-- braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses; but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God. -1 Peter 3:3-4

But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." -1 Samuel 16:7

From these passages, we can see that true beauty, inner beauty, comes from the heart. This is how God sees us. While we may all wish to change something about our outer appearance, until we can see ourselves as God sees us, we will never be satisfied. My dear sister, open the eyes of your heart and see the truth. You are beautiful!

Is there a song that reminds you that you are a beautiful creation of the Lord? Maybe there is a song that awakens your heart and soul and makes you feel so alive that you can’t help but dance? Or maybe there is someone in your life that needs to know just how beautiful they are and you would love to share a song with them? I hope you will join us this month in creating a layout inspired by your favorite songs. Below are a few songs I thought fit this topic, but feel free to share any song that you feel drawn too.

For this month, I made two layouts. One to remind myself of God’s truth and one for someone in my life who needs to hear she is beautiful more often. For the first layout I used lyrics from the song Beautiful by Bethany Dillon and Cinda’s wonderful kit. I love how the focus in this part of the lyrics is that God is the reason we are beautiful. He says that he has made us beautiful and I figure, who are we to argue with God. For the second layout I used lyrics from the song Crazy Beautiful by Chasen and Angel’s gorgeous kit. Both of these songs are great reminders that we need to see ourselves as beautiful women because that is how God sees us.

Each month the designers are invited to create coordinated digital kits inspired by the topic to help you complete your layouts. This month's kits are from Digital Compilations by Cinda and Designs by Angel. They are based on the swatch below. You do not have to use these kits to participate, but I challenge you to create your layouts using these colors. Paper scrappers are welcome to join us by using similar colored products.

My Lifetime Story Challenge 31 - People Who Have Touched My Life

All of us have had amazing people enter our lives. Some of these people may inspire us to do things we never dreamed we could do. Some people we just admire for their ability to always do the right thing. Some people mirror such a faith in Jesus that it inspires you to live your life this way as well. God puts certain people into our lives. It is amazing to me how those people show up in life at just the right time and bless me.

This week scrapbook some of the stories of people who have inspired you, blessed you or just touched your life in an unforgetable way. Pay tribute to some of the special people in your life who have done something so small that nobody else even knows about it, but meant something special to you. Pay tribute to the people that the Lord used along the way to touch you spiritually. You may have many stories to share and many people to pay tribute to.

Some people who have touched my life are my pastor, my parents, my grandma, some of the ladies in my prayer group, and several special friends. You might choose to make a layout for each person or you could do one main layout of people who have touched your life.
