Providence 365 - Week 12

Ecclesiastes 3

A Time for Everything

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,a time for war and a time for peace.

Blessings on this beautiful first day of Spring. Oh, I know – perhaps the weather is not quite ideal for some of us, perhaps we are saddened by events in the news or perhaps we are struggling with something in our personal lives. Regardless of where you are right now, know that you are exactly where He wants you.

I had another verse selected for this week– but this has been one that has been in my thoughts all week – and one that I found on my tongue too many times to count.

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens

I truly believe I have moved into a season of prayer. Yes, I have prayed for as long as I can remember – but this is different. The need for prayer is there (and always has been, I just did not see it The overwhelming need to lift others in prayer has been increasing. The understanding of the power of prayer is becoming clearer. Babies in the hospital, struggles within the Church body, friends who are asking for prayers for their loved ones, their relationships, their children and themselves, times of war and conflict continue to grow, natural disasters are increasing and impacting the lives of many around the world.

What does this mean for me? What do I do in this season? How does this new season change my life and the life of those around me? I don’t know the answers to this – though I have been praying for clarity and direction. I do know I am in His Word more now than I have been in the past. I know that I desire to learn more about prayer. When I tell someone that I am lifting them in prayer – that those words are not to be taken lightly. This is a new season for me – and it is time.

This week, reflect on what your season is. What are you being called to do? There is a time for everything.

If you are able to create a layout on where you are in this season of your life – I encourage you to do so. If you are not ready yet, consider create a layout or card that simply uses this verse – print it out and keep it with you as a reminder that there is a time for everything.

I have a special Providence 365 wordart kit here for downloading. If you do download this, I simply ask that you please share with us on the Faithsisters Providence 365 forum what you have used it for and post it in our gallery.

(If you are new to Providence 365 – it is never too late to start. The Faith Sisters forum with Weeks 1-12 can be found here, along with an overview of the project)

Here is my layout for the challenge -

Wishing you a wonderful first week of Spring.
