As I type this I am looking out the back door - the sun is shining, the grass is green (well, almost) and a doe is gently grazing in my backyard. The girls are out of school for the summer and I was blessed to enjoy an early anniversary dinner last night with my husband of (almost) 19 years. Life is good.
speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord ~ Ephesians 5:19
This weeks bible verse is one I could use again and again. Music is staple in our home. My oldest daughter takes after my husband and can play almost any instrument she picks up. This year she was in five bands/orchestras. She has traveled around the country (and around the world) to share her gifts. She loves to play and listen to many genres, with Contemporary Christian, Classical and Country being at the top of her list. My youngest one loves to sing and has even been known to sing in her sleep. And I...while I played clarinet and guitar a long (long) time ago - I enjoy turning the radio on and listening. I have been known to sing along in the car, at least till I am asked to stop. (rolling my eyes and chuckling)
Here is a layout that I created to celebrate our Palm Sunday service this year - our Sunday School children participated in our annual Parade of Palms in the sanctuary and then blessed us at each service with musical offerings. I could listen all day to the voices of young children singing praise to our Lord! I used by the Shore designs "Just Because" paper collections for this layout.
This week, I challenge you to share with us how music moves you. What is your favorite praise music? When do you listen? Do you have a favorite artist? (you get the idea)
Here is a little (free) wordart to get you started. CLICK HERE FOR DOWNLOAD
Come visit our Providence 365 Forum at Faith Sisters thread and share your layout and be sure to post it in our Providence 365 gallery. (And if you are new to Providence 365, we invite you to check out a few of the last 21 weeks. The freebies are still available and we would love for you to work on those challenges as your time permits.)
Wishing you a week filled with His blessings!
