Okay, being that this is the 10th week of our challenge, I am having a giveaway! I am giving away a new subscription to Today’s Christian Woman magazine! To enter, you must complete this week’s challenge and post a link to your card/page in the comment section right here on my blog so we can all take a peek! Only those cards/pages with links here will be eligible for the drawing. Entries must be completed and posted by Sunday, March 16th anytime. If you are behind, no biggie! Complete this week, and catch up on the others later. I can’t wait to see what you do, and good luck to everyone. I will post the name of the winner sometime on Monday, March 17th. Now onto our 10th week!
As I tried to discern what word God wanted us to study this week, Todd Agnew’s Grace Like Rain began playing on the radio. There was my confirmation. I had been toying with the word in my head, and there it was on the radio. God is so good! So our word for this week is:
Week 10 Challenge Word: Grace
Grace is God’s character demonstrated by His love given to the utterly undeserving. Grace is getting what we don’t deserve but God chose to give it to us! Grace is free. There is no catch. And as we studied in Week 8, we can trust God when He says it is free! We may feel guilty for many things. We may feel guilty for the words we said to our spouse, for the road rage we felt on the freeway, for the gossip we shared with a friend, for the way we acted in a long line while wearing a cross around our neck, for being impatient with a child, etc. We feel that guilt because of our sin. And as we realize our sin then we can so clearly see our need for His amazing gift of grace. As the first two lines of the hymn “Grace Greater than our Sin” says “Marvelous grace of our loving Lord, grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt!” His grace is more than we can ever imagine. Ephesians 2:8 says “it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” Have you received His precious gift of grace? If you haven’t, why not? Will you do that today? If you have received His amazing gift, have you shared this gift lovingly with others around you? Do you know of someone that needs to hear of His gift of grace?
The verses I chose this week were:
Acts 15:11 “We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved . . .”
Romans 5:20 “. . . but where sin increased, grace increased all the more.”
And my absolute favorite:
1 Timothy 1:14 “The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly . . .”
I used the amazing March kit from Create My Keepsake for my card. The colors didn't come out right here; however, they truly are pretty in person. So, get creating those cards and pages. Post your link in the comment section here so you can be entered to win the magazine subscription. And as always, join us on the board to discuss this week's challenge. Blessings everyone!

Here's my card for this week's Scripture Challenge! Great word, and I was able to use an old AWANA verse from when my boys were oh so little! I need to get this done on time too - I love that magazine@ Wonderful word choice Patter. And as we near Holy Week we are reminded that grace is free, only because Christ paid the price. Akready I am humbled by the mere thought of grace, and I have not even delved into scripture study yet! This will be powerful - thanks Patter!
A little question... Can we participate, too, from other countries, or just the US? ;) Cool idea by the way!! :D
