This week we highlight two layouts due to the fact we are "scraplifting" our projects this week. Laurie made a touching layout that was inspired my Cheryl's amazing layout! Ladies, these are lovely!
Laurie Says:
I "lifted" this layout from Cheryl's Brook Layout. In remembrance of my Nana. I found this poem shortly after she passed away in November. It was perfect... Nana LOVED gardening and everything about flowers.
God's Garden
God looked around His garden And found an empty place He then looked down upon the earth And saw your tired face He put His arms around you And lifted you to rest God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering He knew you were in pain, He knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb So He closed your weary eyelids, And whispered "Peace Be Thine."
It breaks our hearts to lose you But you didn't go alone. For part of us went with you, The day God called you home.

Scripture:
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
~ Psalm 23; :6

I chose this kit specifically for the design and colors. Blue tones, butterflies, flowers... all of Nana's favorites! And I think this portrait of her, which was her FAVORITE, compliments it perfectly!
